Exclusive Services
An introduction to just a few of the Speech-Language Therapy services offered in-home or via telehealth.
I understand that with a new diagnosis, it can be overwhelming to navigate the terminology and options for care. Please reach out for real advice, guidance, or answers to questions on what options for you may look like, person-to-person.
In-Home/In-Person Speech-Language Therapy

Holistic speech-language therapy provided in-home. Includes personalized materials and treatment plan to facilitate meaningful progress.
Comprehensive Speech, Language and Cognitive-Communication Evaluations

Comprehensive formal, standardized, and/or in-formal evaluations provided upon request. An evaluation may offer a diagnosis as well as information needed to understand an individual's strengths and needs to plan for future treatment.
Teletherapy

Speech-language therapy offered via a HIPAA-compliant video meeting platform. Receive personalized services anywhere. Currently licensed to service individuals in Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Florida and soon, California.
Personalized Visual Supports

I create personalized visual supports for your student, client, and/or patient in need to save you time. Visual supports can completely change an individual's ability to communicate effectively across environments. Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, or any cognitive impairment from neurological damage, may rely on visuals for functional receptive and expressive language skills. These supports can greatly improve a person and their caregiver's quality of life. This service includes a consultation to discuss personal needs to create appropriate communication boards, symbols for ADL reminders, and/or sentence starters/prompts.
Holistic Approach to Speech-Language Therapy

Brain health, stress, anxiety, breath support and overall quality of life impact communication. Mindfulness in the form of breathing, meditation, and self-awareness is proven to improve cognitive function and overall communication skills. I utilize the client's strengths to overcome weaknesses and know that a calm, strong mind is the foundation needed to support positive neurological change (e.g., improved language expression/comprehension, voice, articulation, social skills, attention, memory, executive function, visuospatial, word finding, etc.).
Coaching

Coaching is offered to parents/caregivers to best support their loved ones' communication development. Time to "coach" and practice strategies, use of materials, and activities is given during sessions to build parent/caregiver competence in supporting communication across daily activities.
Aphasia Support

Evidence-based treatment plans to support cognition needed for language function impacted by aphasia. Spoken language comprehension, spoken language expression, written expression, reading comprehension are the four main areas impacted by brain injury resulting in Aphasia. Treatment approaches include: Semantic-feature Analysis, Life Participation Approach to Aphasia, Multiple Oral Reading, etc. Mindfulness activities are incorporated to improve neural connections.
AAC/Communication Supports

Individualized high- and low-tech AAC (Augmented and Alternative Communication) and communication supports created for clients as needed. This includes practicing use in sessions, as well as coaching client and caregivers for them to confidently and effectively use across settings. AAC could be a Picture Exchange System for a child with delayed language skills or Autism, picture supports for language comprehension, iPad (Proloquo) training for functional communication support, etc.
Consultations, In-Service Presentations

I offer in-service presentations for you or your school, outpatient rehabilitation center, or acute care setting to increase staff's competency in the area of speech, language, and cognitive-communication. For example, a presentation on AAC - how to use, implement and support individuals with high- or low-tech communication devices - will facilitate better support and resources for individuals at your clinic/school.
